Our client is one of the key developers and renewable energy investors with global presence and a stable presence in Italy.

For their office in Italy they are currently looking for a Senior Asset Manager with at least 5 years of experience within asset management in the renewable energy sector.

MISSION

To maximize the profitability of the assets, managing their P&L, project SPVs, key contracts and obligations, and stakeholder relationships. Support other departments to guarantee they can efficiently provide their services for the project, and lead internal initiatives to drive long-term asset returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

P&L MANAGEMENT

· Prepare a business plan and budget for companies under supervision, with the objective
to maximize the profitability of the assets.

· Follow-up on performance of companies under responsibility, analysis of deviations and
establishment of corrective actions.

· Ensure elaboration of management reports to follow-up on companies’ performance,
from different perspectives: financial, technical, energy market, etc. Gather all relevant

information from other company sources to provide a comprehensive view of assets’ performance.

STAKEHOLDER AND INSTITUTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

· Manage relationships with key stakeholders for companies under supervision, and
coordinate with relevant departments where needed. In particular, manage relationships with partners in SPVs.

· Represent the company in different forums when required, in coordination with relevant departments: regulatory and governmental bodies, associations, local distributors, TSO, etc.

· Coordinate efforts leading to compliance with all stakeholder requirements and obligations (eg. environmental, health & safety, etc.).

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

· Support other COMPANY departments during the negotiation process for some key contracts
when required (Energy Management for PPA, Finance for Project Finance, etc.).

· Manage obligations and compliance requirements for certain contracts under
supervision, involving other departments when necessary or providing support when required. Ensure an adequate coordination with other company departments affected by these contract obligations.

· Project Finance: support Finance department to follow-up on project finance requirements.

· Energy Sales contract: see Energy Sales related responsibilities below.

ENERGY SALES

· Manage and execute energy sales contracts requirements and obligations, according
to company guidelines and defined strategies. Support Energy Management for contract origination when required.

· Compliance with offtaker / market / TSO / regulator and other institutions regarding any contractual or market requirements like reporting, data provision, etc.

· Execute sales according to company defined guidelines and strategy (if applicable):

o Place market offers according to defined strategy.

o Execute bilateral contracts.

· Revenue verification: periodically monitor metering and invoicing processes to guarantee revenue assurance.

· Reporting on energy sales activity in the geography, in coordination with Energy

Management:

o Operational performance: energy, Green Certificates, other, ...

o Contract performance analysis vs. alternative scenarios: provide Energy

Management with the necessary information for contract performance analysis

· Competitor and market analysis:
o Market knowledge: trends, participants, etc.

· Institutional representation:
o Proactively collaborate with local authorities, institutions and associations.

o Coordinate with Energy Management to provide company guidance in these forums.

ASSET PERFORMANCE

· Establish the required service levels with technical areas to maximize assets’ turnover and improve their performance.

· Validate commercial aspects of O&M contracts and their impact on the project’s profitability.

· Review technical reports and request additional clarifications where needed to guarantee an adequate monitoring of performance. Collaborate with technical areas to ensure resources are in place to implement improvement initiatives.

· Validate with technical areas the impact of potential improvement projects and propose their implementation based on an adequate business case and risk assessment.

ADMINISTRATIVE

· Energy invoicing.
· Landowner and other periodical payments.
· Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for companies under supervision, according to
internal and local processes, and through the service provided by relevant departments in the company: health & safety, insurance, fiscal, etc.

· Prepare financial accounts and other relevant reports and statements for companies under supervision. Organize Boards of Directors. Ensure accounts presentation, validation, and similar company obligations are met. Specifically, meet obligations regarding information to be provided to shareholders and other relevant stakeholders, accurately and timely.

PROJECT TRANSFER TO ASSET MANAGEMENT

· Validate a formal project transfer from Project Management to Asset Management, ensuring all relevant documents and obligations are properly tracked following an internal and official transfer dossier.

· Support Project Management, Construction and Operations & Maintenance to transfer responsibilities and agree on a final project handover.

· Maintain an updated transfer dossier with requirements from Asset Management, to be validated for every project entering the operation stage.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

· Manage the team of Asset Managers under his responsibility, according to HR policies and requirements and promoting their professional development and contribution to the objectives of the department.

REQUIRED EDUCATION SKILLS

· Business Administration or Engineering.
· Languages: Fluent English (read, write and speak)
